Webinar presented by Urs Schmid, SWITCH, on September 7, 2017

SWITCHtube received another very nice software update which we would like to present in this webinar, see https://tube.switch.ch/help/changes. You can now add subtitles and closed captions to your videos. These can be imported from certain subtitle files, or added easily using the built-in subtitle editor. We will present to you in a live demo how this can be done to any video you have stored on SWITCHtube, and how to make use of this powerful feature for all types of educational videos. So whenever you want to share a video to a wider audience not fluent in your mother tongue, simply add subtitles or captions to your videos. In addition we will briefly talk about a new type of video channels on SWITCHtube which are called “Open Channel”. These Open Channels contain teaching, learning and research videos that can be freely watched by all users of SWITCHtube.
