Safe Exam Browser (SEB), the secure kiosk/lockdown browser solution, has consistently seen increased usage all over the world. Apart from significant improvements in its security and stability, SEB is also introducing new and unique features that are not available in any other secure exam platform.

The first part of the webinar will demonstrate and explain the new features introduced in SEB 2.2.1 for Windows, the new macOS and the iOS versions. You will learn how powerful the new feature Additional Resources is, which can be used to access specific websites and documents. The recently improved URL filter helps to allow access to pages or resources that can be used in exams, but its correct configuration needs some practice. We’ll give some tips and show how to add documents or web apps to SEB configuration files. New features also include an audio control for multimedia exams and an optional, configurable spell checker.

In the second part, we will discuss new possibilities for a better integration of SEB into learning management systems (LMS) like Moodle. There are new built-in features in SEB which will allow good security with an easy setup of exam settings directly in the LMS. You can also make it easier for students to start exams with individual settings and to apply the SEB configuration for your institution. Some of the new features necessary for this easier SEB usage are already implemented in SEB for iOS. We’ll demonstrate them and you can try it out live with your own iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch).
