The development of educationally effective and creative videos is often associated with much effort. In particular, recording with multiple devices and the required video editing are very complex. Live video recording, on the other hand, offers a way to produce educational videos in a single stroke. The necessary preparations are comparable to those of classical lectures. In this second webinar we will take a look at "Open Broadcast Studio" (PC, Mac, Linux). The open source software offers lecturers and researchers the possibility to record or stream videos in one step. Unfortunately, the software is often used only as screen capture software at universities. OBS offers a variety of creative possibilities to produce attractive didactic videos (PiP, chromakeying, transitions, titles and many more). It allows the lecturers to independently record videos that correspond to the subject and didactic requirements. For this purpose, almost all media sources such as images, presentations, multicam-recordings of experiments etc. can be integrated.

The webinar focuses on pedagogical-didactic added value. It demonstrates how lessons are planned, didactically structured, and then recorded as in face-to-face lessons. With OBS you can create creative and authentic videos, e.g. as an introduction to seminars in inverted classroom method. OBS Studio is also suitable for poster presentations and research results. The didactic structure follows almost the same rules as in classroom instruction. As a result, the application also corresponds to the wishes ot the lecturers, for the individual design of their learning methods and educational design.
