Africa Pesticide Intervention Studies (APSENT)

Baseline data collection and intervention in Uganda, Health and well-being along sustainable food production systems

We showcases a case study in Uganda within the APSENT project in 2020.

The movie presents the baseline of the clustered randomized control trial to evaluate a 2-day training and SMS intervention on safe pesticide use in smallholder farmers. Our aim is to investigate the potential of the interventions to improve knowledge, attitude, and practice, and reduce exposure and health risk of pesticide use. The follow-up survey is now ongoing (October to November 2021).
