Postdoc - 03, Jean Carlo Guella (UNICAMP): Recent theoretical results on MMD, Energy distance, HSIC and its generalizations

In this talk, it will be presented some new theoretical results about kernel methods, such as properties of the Gaussian kernels on Hilbert spaces; new proofs of the energy distance on Hilbert spaces and its generalizations using Bernstein functions; independence tests using a new type of kernel that generalizes HSIC/distance covariance and examples using completely monotone functions of order 2.
